Fabrice DeClerck
The Montpellier Process
Fabrice DeClerck is the Science Director of EAT and a Senior Scientist with the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT of the CGIAR. He graduated from the University of California at Davis, and completed his PhD with the Earth Institute at Columbia University. For the past thirty years, he has led research at the interface of environment, agriculture and human health – notably co-leading the EAT-Lancet Commission on healthy diets from sustainable food systems, and now co-leading EAT-Lancet 2.0 with Johan Rockstrom, Shakintala Thilsted and Walter Willet. He works with food system actors from across the globe, and is the co-founder of Science and Solutions Dialogues with Amanda Harding. His current projects and collaborations include leading the Food Chapter for the IPBES Nexus and Transformative Change Assessments and work for the Food System Economics Commission, the Earth Commission, the Food System Countdown Initiative, and the Blue Food Assessments.
