Joyeeta Gupta (the Netherlands) is a Professor of Environment and Development in the Global South at the Amsterdam Institute forSocial Science Research of the University of Amsterdam and I HE Delft Institute for Water Education. She is a Faculty Professor on Sustainability (2019-2024)and has been named as Co-Chair of the Earth Commission (2019-2021) by Future Earth together with Johan Rockstrom and DaheQin. She is Editor-in-Chief of the International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, and is on the Board of many other journals. She has contributed her expertise to U N EP GE0-6, I PCC WGIII AR4 and AR5, as well as the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA)
