Mr. Chihiro Haga
Dr. Chihiro HAGA is a specially appointed researcher at Osaka University, Japan. He completed a doctoral course at the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, in 2021. In the PANCES (Predicting and Assessing Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services through an Integrated Social-Ecological Systems Approach) project, he conducted a scenario analysis of biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) at a local scale in Japan using the LANDIS-II forest landscape simulation model. His research experiences include 1) applying the forest landscape simulation model for integrated social-ecological systems modeling, 2) simulating local future scenario narratives of forestry, agriculture, and renewable energy production, and 3) identifying nexuses between local landscape planning and BES under climate change.
