Erie Tamale is a Senior Programme Management Officer and Head of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Unit at the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. Prior to joining the CBD Secretariat in 2001, he worked with WWF International for 5 years and with the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Uganda for 5 years. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management from York University, Toronto and a Bachelors in Forestry from Makerere University, Kampala. His expertise is in the areas of biodiversity, forestry, environmental planning, capacity development, policy research and analysis and programme management.
