Ms. Jintana Kawasaki
Dr. Jintana Kawasaki is a fellow at Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching and research relevant to natural resource and environmental economics, sustainable agriculture and climate change in Asia and the Pacific. She has various research publications including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and reports. She served as a project leader for several research projects, examining:
- “Effective models for payment mechanisms for forest ecosystem services in Papua New Guinea, Philippines and Thailand” initiated by Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN)
- “Sugar supply chain sustainability in Thailand” initiated by Oxfam
- “Sustainable teak plantation and teak wood development by using a low-cost timber drying kiln in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR” initiated by Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade Partnership (RAFT-3)
